Could you inspire the next generation?

Date published: 26 March 2025

The Big Bang Fair returns from 17 to 19 June 2025 at the NEC, Birmingham and we need your help!

It's the biggest celebration of STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) for schools, bringing STEM careers inspiration to thousands of young people every year.

Volunteers at The Big Bang Fair

We're looking for scientists, engineers, technicians, as well as people who study or work in STEM, who love what they do! Whether you're an apprentice, student, graduate, career starter or professional with years of experience, come to The Fair and help inspire the next generation.

You don't need to join us for all 3 days of The Big Bang Fair, but you’d need to be free for 1 full day. Volunteers help bring STEM to life for young people, by talking about their day to day job and what it’s actually like. Telling your story could inspire the bright minds of tomorrow.

It'll be a fun and rewarding opportunity to make a difference in young people’s lives. Plus you’ll get the chance to develop and build your personal network. You’ll also receive our eternal thanks!

Find out what's involved, download a detailed role description and make your application. You have until 31 May to register your interest. We look forward to seeing you there!

As a child, I came to The Big Bang Fair myself, and that inspired me to pursue STEM.
