The Collaborate to Innovate Awards champions student engineering and STEM with two categories dedicated to the next generation of engineers

The Engineer magazine’s annual search for the UK’s most innovative, collaborative engineering projects is now open for entries, as part of annual awards 'C2I Collaborate To Innovate Awards.'

Now in its 9th year, C2I was launched to uncover and celebrate great examples of engineering collaboration.

This year’s competition which is free to enter, also features 2 categories focused on the next generation of engineers:

  • Young Innovator a special category for school student engineering projects. Entries are invited from individual pupils or student teams.
  • STEM Initiative a new category set up to champion efforts to inspire young people to consider a career in engineering.

Finally, whilst these two categories celebrate the engineers of the future, another new award this year, "The impact award for innovation excellence" honours the individuals who have dedicated their careers to pushing the boundaries of innovation.

EngineeringUK Director of Business Development & Partnerships at Engineering UK, Rebecca Everitt, will join a panel of industry leaders including Professor Sir Iain Gray Director of Aerospace at Cranfield University, Abbie Hutty Lead Systems Engineer, ispace Europe SA, Gareth D Jones Group Engineering Director, BAE Systems, and Dr Andy Lawrence Head of Engineering at the EPSRC.

The closing date for entries is midnight on Friday 6 September.

Winners will be revealed at a reception on 27 February 2025 in London.
