We will put forward a series of policy proposals based on ourpolicy priorities for the next government, such as for a holistic STEM education and skills plan as well as a National Engineering and Technology Workforce Strategy.  The submission will also recommend measures to increase STEM teacher recruitment and retention and improved careers provision in schools, amongst other policies.

The Spending Review will determine departmental expenditure limits for 2025/26 and the remainder of 2024/25, ahead of a multi-year Comprehensive Spending Review next Spring and will be announced by the Chancellor alongside the Budget on 30 October.

EngineeringUK’s policy and public affairs team will also be attending the Liberal Democrat, Labour, and Conservative Party Conferences in September to engage with MPs on our key asks of the government.

If you would be interested in meeting up with a member of the team at any of the conferences, please get in touch.
