Join our growing network of teachers to have a say about STEM engagement
Join our growing network of teachers to have a say about STEM engagement, share learnings – and get vouchers as a thank you for your time.
We are looking for teachers and SENCOs to join our teacher network and influence engagement activities to enhance young people’s interest in STEM subjects, as well as helping inform EngineeringUK about how best to engage with young people from groups that are currently less likely to pursue a career in engineering.
What is the teacher network?
The teacher network will hold a 1h online meeting every half term and all teachers will receive a £30 Amazon voucher for each meeting they attend.
The meetings act as an opportunity for teachers to share learning amongst themselves and inform EngineeringUK’s work and the wider STEM environment. It's a chance for teachers to help influence engagement activities which will enhance young people’s interest in STEM subjects and lead to greater career opportunities for the young people they work with.
Throughout 2023/24, the teacher network was consulted on a range of issues, including:
- helping shape our approach to developing new programmes
- shaping our bursaries offer to ensure it meets school needs
- consulting with EngineeringUK corporate members on how industry and schools could work together
- giving feedback on virtual work experience
How to get involved
If you are interested in getting involved in the teacher network or if you have any questions or want to find out more, please get in touch.
We would welcome hearing from STEM teachers, non-STEM teachers, careers advisors and special needs teachers/SENCOs and teaching assistants/learning mentors, working in KS3 and KS4.
