Tomorrow's Engineers EEP Robotics Challenge

Applications are now open for schools interested in taking part in the Tomorrow’s Engineers Robotics Challenge in academic year 2018/19. Renewed Helsington Foundation investment will see the programme engage even more young people from across the UK over the next three years.

Student teams can apply to be part of this exciting robotics challenge that sees them involved in ‘aviation missions’. Teamwork, robots, design, discovery, fun and loads of LEGO are all part of the mix, as are real-world challenges, teacher CPD and some great prizes.

The Challenge is a ten-week extra-curricular or in-school programme that sees students learning how to design and control robots in order to complete a series of challenges, as well as developing a research project.

The starting point is training days for the teachers, who get a full introduction to the challenge, as well as LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 hardware, building and programming their own robots before sharing that knowledge with students.
