EngineeringUK has announced that Maddie Dinwoodie will join as Director of Engagement Programmes in the summer. Maddie joins the organisation from UK Youth, where she is currently Chief Programme Officer. With a background in the not-for-profit sector, Maddie has 20 years’ experience in developing programmes for young people, growing partnerships and improving impact.
Commenting on her new role, Maddie said: “I am passionate about both equity of opportunity for all young people and climate change, so I am thrilled to be joining EngineeringUK at such a crucial time for both these spaces. It will be a privilege to work with the team and partners to create the systemic shift that we need to see; inspiring more young people from all backgrounds into engineering and technology, tackling employment inequalities and ultimately creating the diverse workforce needed to improve sustainability and achieve net zero.”
Dr Hilary Leevers, Chief Executive of EngineeringUK, said: “I'm delighted to welcome Maddie to the team. Her experience in working in partnership to develop programmes focussed on engaging young people will be key to the success of our new 5-year strategy and she joins EngineeringUK at a very exciting time. I'm very much looking forward to welcoming Maddie to the exec team at EngineeringUK and working together to bring that strategy to life.”
Maddie joins EngineeringUK on 1 July.
