We analyse what enables, inspires or deters young people from choosing a career in engineering and technology and we share those learnings widely, including with policy makers and politicians. We aim to give them a deeper understanding of the pathways into engineering as well as related enablers and blockers for young people.
We also make recommendations as to how improve those pathways into engineering and technology careers, working closely with partners in the wider engineering community and beyond. In all of our work we focus on increasing diversity in the engineering profession and ensuring that we have more young people choosing engineering as a career.
We also encourage collaboration across government, industry and education to ensure the UK has the engineering and technology skills and diversity of thought to deliver against our ambitions in terms of innovation, economic resilience, societal impact and sustainable living.
