Overview
The Climate Schools Programme provides a flexible set of resources for English, geography, and science teachers to use in their lessons. The materials help students explore solutions to climate change while building important skills like communication and teamwork. Teachers can choose how many lessons to deliver and which activities best suit their students and classroom.
As the programme was in its first year, our evaluation focused on the quality of the resources and how they were used in different schools. The feedback was overwhelmingly positive—95% of teachers rated the materials as good or excellent, and 90% said they would deliver the lessons again.
Teachers particularly valued how the lessons encouraged students to think about how engineering is addressing climate change and connecting these careers to the curriculum.
