A nationwide celebration of apprenticeships

Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2025 takes place from 3 to 7 March

Scottish Apprenticeships are made for business, people and Scotland’s economy. They help unlock today's critical economic opportunities, providing employers with the skills to meet their needs now and for the future.

The Week, which runs from 3 to 7 March 2025, highlights how apprenticeships create a competitive and capable workforce for Scotland. It's also the perfect opportunity to shout about the benefits that work-based learning brings to businesses, people and the economy.

We'll be supporting our wonderful Corporate Members – as well as our other partners and supporters – as they showcase their Scottish apprentices.

Thinking of taking part?

The Week is great for:

  • Showcasing Scottish Apprenticeships as a route into STEM careers
  • Getting young people in your communities to think about their future
  • Using your apprentices (as well as professionals in your organisation who took an apprenticeship) to inspire young people
  • Showcasing the various apprenticeships available in your organisation to your local audiences

Activities to think about

  • Hosting an 'apprenticeships assembly' at a local school, or an 'introduction to apprentices day' at your office
  • Inviting your current or former apprentices to speak to students at a local school
  • Flagging apprenticeship routes to your networks
  • Using our careers resources to talk about apprenticeships in engineering and tech when visiting young people
