Our team

We’re a hardworking, diverse, friendly and welcoming team, if we do say so ourselves! Collaboration is at the heart of how we operate. And we’re all driven by a passion to inspire the next generation into STEM, so the UK has a diverse future workforce it needs to thrive.

Our culture

Our values shape our culture. We’re inclusive, collaborative, curious, insightful and driven. Employees here share a sense of purpose and passion, creating a culture where everyone is encouraged to contribute, innovate and grow.

We listen. We invite regular feedback via our Employee Forum and EDI Working Group. The results from our annual staff survey are analysed and any recommendations are implemented.

We want EngineeringUK to be a great place to work so it’s easy for our people to deliver our mission. Being together as a team happens at regular all team meetings, away days and socials. We recognise hard work through our monthly ‘thank you’ and ‘spot awards’ programme.

Working life

It’s important to us that our people feel supported. To help with that work-life balance we have built in flexibility. We have hybrid and flexible working, core hours, generous holiday allowance, we’re family friendly and we close for the festive period.

Making sure our operations are effective and efficient makes working life less stressful. All the necessaries are in place and are designed to be easy. IT help is a call or email away, you can book a desk on your way to work and there are plenty of meeting rooms to suit your needs.

Induction

Each new member of the team has a bespoke induction programme to help ease them in. Your manager will prepare this before your first day and set up introductory meetings. You’ll get to meet stakeholders and key people across the organisation in your first few weeks.

We’ll support any individual needs you may have. All your IT and access happens on day one. It can be a daunting time, starting a new role, we want it to be smooth for our newest team members!

How to apply for jobs

We advertise our jobs on digital platforms such as LinkedIn and appropriate job boards for the role. Our ads always display the salary range for transparency. From the advert, it’s a simple click to apply.

We believe in unbiased recruitment. Your application is anonymous, so every applicant has an equal opportunity to show their skills and strengths. We use a hiring system called Be Applied. We’ve won awards and accolades for our recruitment processes – including the Silver Standard TIDE ENEI award.
