Our culture

About us

We’re a not-for-profit, driving change so more young people choose engineering and technology careers. Our strategy is based on our mission to enable more young people from all backgrounds to be informed, inspired and progress into engineering and tech. We do this through research and evidence, leadership, activities for schools and advocacy, with a focus on long-term sustainability.  

The team shares a sense of purpose, creating a culture where everyone is encouraged to contribute, innovate and grow.

We apply these values to everything we do:

Getting together 

We bring the team together once a month at an all-team hybrid session to share news and celebrate success. We include ‘thank yous’ where members of the team anonymously give a shout out to their colleagues where thanks are due. We also have an initiative called ‘spot awards’ to recognise those who’ve gone above and beyond.  

We want to all be together as a team at away days – often off-site – so we can work productively and strategically, planning together against our targets and KPIs.  

Teams take it in turns to organise social activities. In the past, these have included games, quizzes, creative tasks and challenges. We also come together to mark awareness days during the year.
