T levels events for SMEs looking for talent

Feb 15, 2023

T levels have the potential to deliver the much-needed skilled engineering workforce in the UK while offering a fantastic route into engineering and tech careers.

Two events next month aim to give small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in engineering and manufacturing the information they need understand and leverage the benefits of T levels to their business.

We are working with The Department for Education, Enginuity (and the National Manufacturing Skills Task Force), Make UK, and Royal Academy of Engineering to run 2 free events in March 2023:

Manchester, 28 March 2023, Manchester Piccadilly Hotel, 10:00 to 13:30 (rescheduled date)

London, 23 March, The Hard Rock Hotel, 10:00 to 13:30

The events will provide a mixture of information and workshops aimed at supporting SMEs in the engineering and manufacturing sector to benefit from T levels.

The agenda will feature influential speakers from across the sector, case studies from employers to share best practice, Q&A with T level students and a networking session with local colleges offering T levels.

If you’re an SME, this a wonderful opportunity to find out more about the benefits of T levels and ask questions about how T levels can become part of enhancing your business.

“We’re desperately short of young engineers in our industry. There’s already a real skills gap and it will be even more so in the future. We as a business are focused on encouraging young people to come into our industry.”

“It’s very competitive out there for engineers. By providing industry placements we can secure a young person coming into our workplace, give them a good experience and hopefully they’ll think, ‘I really enjoyed that, that’s a good industry to be in’. Because it is an exciting career.”
