Sharing annual highlights at our AGM

Feb 19, 2024

Today we are pleased to welcome our members and partners to our Annual General Meeting (AGM). Our newly appointed Chair Iain Conn will be discussing the key achievements of the Board over the last year. Our Chief Executive Dr Hilary Leevers will also update on our performance over the 2022/23 business year and share key highlights, along with our plans for the 2023/24 year.

In preparation for this, we’ve created a highlights report from 2022/2023, which is available to download here. 2022/23 marked the final year of a 5-year strategy period – rooted in our ambition to inform and inspire young people and to grow the number and diversity of tomorrow’s engineers. During this period, we focussed our attention on 3 key pillars of activity to help us achieve this: increasing reach and inspiration, developing and sharing insight, growing collective impact.

Here's a snapshot of our 2022/23 year in numbers:

In 2022/23 we thoroughly reviewed, consulted on, and widely tested a new strategy designed to take EngineeringUK to 2028. September 2023 marked the start of this new 5-year strategy, one that is based on our refreshed mission to enable more young people from all backgrounds to be informed, inspired and progress into engineering and technology. Our vision is for the UK to have the diverse workforce needed for engineering and technology to thrive and to drive economic prosperity, improve sustainability and achieve net zero.
