Campaigns

We want our work to shape young people’s view of engineers and engineering and to give them a better understanding of the career opportunities the industry offers. High profile campaigns across traditional and social media support that aim.

Tomorrow’s Engineers Week
Our flagship campaign is Tomorrow’s Engineers Week, which takes place every November and aims to shine a spotlight on engineering, engineering careers and engineering professionals. #TEWeek highlights to young people and their influencers that engineering is a creative, problem solving, exciting career that improves the world around us in countless different ways. From individual engineers to professional engineering institutions and global engineering companies, it’s an opportunity to showcase modern engineering and inspirational engineers and technicians. The Week has been embraced by the engineering community, who join us as we share positive messages about engineering careers.

Tomorrow’s Engineers Week has a central activity for schools, giving young people across the UK the opportunity to participate. This has included Big Assemblies, a Big Quiz and a Schools COP – all of which have reached thousands of young people.

This is Engineering
We are a strategic partner in This is Engineering, a campaign to bring engineering to life for young people and give more people the opportunity to pursue a career that is rewarding, future-shaping, varied, well-paid and in-demand.

This is engineering reinforces the message that engineering is for everyone: whatever your background and whatever you love – whether it’s fashion, film, sport, music or technology.

The aim is to show more young people what engineering really looks like, and how it could be an exciting and rewarding path for them in the future.

We also support awareness days and weeks that encourage the promotion of engineering, STEM and careers opportunities. These include, annual campaigns such as

British Science Week

International Women in Engineering Day

National Apprenticeship Week

National Careers Week
