Today is 'T Level Thursday' of National Apprenticeships Week - a great opportunity to spotlight this important pathway into engineering and technology careers.

In her latest column for The Engineer magazine, our Chief Executive Dr Hilary Leevers explains about the many benefits of T Levels to employers and young people alike, and encourages businesses to offer much-needed work placements for students taking T Levels.

She writes “One of the most tangible ways that employers (in England) can help, and benefit their business at the same time, is by offering industry placements for students taking T Levels. (EngineeringUK has) estimated that students could need as many as 43,500 industry placements by 2024/2025 for engineering, design and digital T Levels.”

To those already offering T Levels she offers thanks and asks them to get involved in 'T Level Thursday' “by sharing your experiences of T Levels and spreading the word about their benefits. You could also consider working with local schools and colleges to promote T Levels to their students by, for example, offering to give talks to students or host open days.”
